most hospitable cities in the world

TOKYO

Company Hotel.de AG, which offers booking of hotels all over the world, presented the top tourist destinations, which is based on 2008 results. Hotel.info - portal, owned by a group hotel.de - conducted a user survey, wherein hundreds of thousands of people have taken part. Each of them rated a particular city using ten-point scale. Rating by Hotel.info was calculated for hotels in the cities by price-quality ratio and was intended to give an objective assessment of the hotel service level. Hotels of the particular price sector – 3-4 * were chosen for Hotel.info survey. The list of twenty major world tourist destinations, hotels of which best of all reflected the customer’s view of the descent level of hotel service, was compiled as a result of the survey.

The capital of Japan became the leader among the most hospitable cities. Hotels in Tokyo have been recognized by users of Hotel.info as the best ones in quality of service and the proposed prices. The two European capitals are also among three leaders. Hotels in Lisbon and Prague struck a chord with respondents to the survey. Grades, given to those cities, allowed them to take the second and third places respectively.

The Minato district of Tokyo is home to a few excellent museums, including the Nezu Museum of antiques and the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum. Tokyo City View, an observation area on the 52nd floor of the Mori Tower, offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire metropolitan area. In busy Shinjuku, you’ll find some of the tallest buildings in Tokyo, as well as tons of shopping malls, bars and clubs. To escape the hustle and bustle, Trip Advisor travelers recommend visiting Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a beautiful and peaceful park in the middle of the city
Among the cities, hospitality of which helped them to get into the top-twenty by Hotel.info are: Madrid, Rio, Paris and Rome. However, the service and prices in hotels of New York, London and Moscow were not sufficiently good for voters. None of these cities has appeared among top-twenty hotels

  1. According to my research findings, there is no particular city which can considered the most hospitable, because there are so many characteristics that constitutes a city to be hospitable. They also differ according to the seven continents of the world and you will also realise that the features that may constitute Tokyo to be hospitable are not the features that you will find for Cape town ,South Africa to have been the hospitable city in Africa. There is no scale rating that could be used to make a city more hospitable than the other.
    Thank you!

  2. Through some features you highlighted the city can be among those at high, but when I went through this site (htt://www.numbeo.com/crime/city=result.jsp?country=japan&city=tokyo)I realised that though each police station is occupied by upto 2000 police officers, they are been woried by the crime rate which showed increase in the last 3 years. This includes cars been stolen, attacks because of skin colour which can make visitors unconfortable.
